Beim Bau der Kantonsschule Olten 1974 wurde die Mediothek innerhalb des Schulhauses errichtet. Zwischen 2016-2022 wurde das gesamte Kantonsschulgebäude saniert, inkl. Mediothek.

Der Medienbestand der Mediothek orientiert sich anden Schulfächern und bietet zusätzlich eine Auswahl an Medien zur Unterhaltung und zur Freizeitgestaltung.
