1982 wurde auf Initiative des Radio- und Fernsehpioniers Tista Murk eine Bibliothekskommission gegründet. Unter der kompetenden Beratung des engagierten Präsidenten Dr. Pius Tomaschett und Pfarrer Paul Casanova konnte im Herbst 1983 die Biblioteca Trun mit rund 3'000 Bücher eröffnet werden. Standort war das Schulhaus in Trun. Von 1995 bis 2000 musste die Biblioteca aus Platzgründen auf dem Areal der Tuchfabrik Truns SA ausweichen. Der Medien bestand wuchs in diesen Jahren stetig an und umfasste mittlerweile auch Nonbooks. Ab 2000-2003 befand sich die Biblioteca Trun im Dulezi bevor sie ab März 2003 ihren definitiven Standort im neuerstelltem Gemeindezentrum, dem Center communal erhielt.
