Entstanden 1972 als Schulmediothek des Lehrerseminars des Kantons Solothurn. Ausbau ab 1986 zur Mediothek für Lehrerinnen und Lehrer des Kantons Solothurn. 2006 Integration der Medienberatungsstelle für Religionspädagogik der Landeskirchen des Kantons Solothurn. Heute öffentliche Bibliothek der Pädagogischen Hochschule der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz am Standort Solothurn und Magazin für die Bibliotheken der PH FHNW.
